Great wines begin in the vineyard. Our vision is to make rich and unforgettable wines that are true to the special place they come from. The story of Catena is the story of Argentine wine.

Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and in discovering extreme high altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza. The family’s Adrianna Vineyard at almost 5,000 feet elevation has been called the Grand Cru of South America.

Familia Zuccardi

Argentina

Girolamro.png
About

Sebastián Zuccardi grew up in a family that had a strong visionary and innovative spirit. Since 1963, when his grandfather planted the first hectares of grapevines in Maipú, Mendoza, the Zuccardi family has not stopped growing and developing. It has become a leader in Argentine wine production.

From his father, José Alberto Zuccardi, Sebastián inherited the determination and desire to constantly strive for excellence.

Today, Sebastián, third generation of the family, finds himself leading a young team of agricultural engineers and enologists, who are in charge of producing the highest quality wines in the Uco Valley.

On his initiative, the winery has had a research and development area since 2008, dedicated to studying the terroir and the diverse variables that affect wine quality. The goal, in Sebastián’s own words, is “not to strive for perfect wines, but wines that express the place, the region.”

About

At Real Wines we believe in giving our customers an outstanding wine-drinking experience every time they buy from us.

We believe that wines made as naturally as possible, with the minimum use of chemicals or additives in the vineyard or the winery, produce the best results. For this reason we focus strongly on selling organic and biodynamic wines.

We believe in wines which have a real sense of place, whether that be the sun-baked hills of the Barossa or the marginal riverside slopes of the Loire valley.

We believe that life is too short for ordinary wine!

Zorzal Wines

Argentina

Girolamro.png
About

Zorzal wines come from gualtallary, which is located in the tupungato department in the northernmost sector of the uco valley. It is the highest-altitude zone in the region and has unique characteristics that make it an exceptional place to produce Terroir wines.

The grapes are hand picked in different zones of upper, lower, and central gualtallary, and every bottle reflects the diversity of this terroir. These are honest, austere, and vertical wines with a minerality typical of calcareous soils. They are fermented with native yeasts and vinified in concrete to achieve honest wines with nervy acidity.
